Rangers keep the streak alive against the Caps; Nash scores first hat trick as a Ranger

The Rangers (18-10-4) won a thriller against the Washington Capitals (17-11-6) at Madison Square Garden by a final score of 4-2, and extended the win streak to seven games.
The win gave the Rangers at least one point in 11 consecutive game against Metropolitan Division opponents (10-0-1). They have also won 11 of their last 14 games.
The Rangers were led by Rick Nash, who wound up scoring three of the four Rangers goals. Nash was outstanding, and a goal late in the third period on the power play, that was originally credited to Martin St. Louis, gave him his first ever hat trick as a New York Ranger, and a total of 23 goals this season. In front of an emotional crowd mourning the loss of two NYPD officers, The Rangers (17-10-4) continued to play their best hockey of the year, picking up another victory and sweeping the home-and-home against the Carolina Hurricanes (9-20-4).
After making a comeback victory last night, the Rangers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, shutting out the Hurricanes by a score of 1-0. Read the rest of this entry
Rangers keep on rolling over Carolina in a shootout; Kevin Klein scores late tying goal

The Rangers (16-10-4) managed to find a way to win again over the hard-working Carolina Hurricanes (9-20-3) in the shootout. JT Miller and Kevin Klein were the goal scorers for the Rangers, and Mats Zuccarello sealed the victory in the shootout.
The Rangers rallied twice in the third period to sweep their road trip, winning all four games. It is only the fourth time in team history that the Rangers have swept a road trip of four or more games. The shootout victory also extended the Rangers season high win streak to five games. Rangers extinguish the Flames; Nash hits the 20 goal mark

The Rangers (15-10-4) handed the Calgary Flames (17-14-2) their sixth consecutive loss, and wound up extending their win streak to four games, sweeping the Western Canada road trip.
The Rangers were led by the offensive outburst of Rick Nash, who scored two goals in the game to extend his point streak to 11 games. Nash’s goals gave him a total of 20 for the season, which made it 11 straight seasons for Nash with at least 20 goals, which is the NHL’s longest active streak. Read the rest of this entry
Rangers top the Oilers for their third straight win; Henrik gets the shutout

The Rangers (14-10-4) won their second game in as many days, shutting out the struggling Edmonton Oilers (7-19-5) by a final score of 2-0.
The Rangers got some surprising news this afternoon, when it was discovered that Derick Brassard, second on the team in points, had contracted the mumps, now the 12th case in the NHL this season. With Brassard out, Vigneault had to make some changes in the lineup. Tanner Glass was reinserted into the lineup on the fourth line, and JT Miller was shifted to center, with Chris Kreider playing on the second line again. Read the rest of this entry
