Ryan McDonagh’s separated shoulder will sideline him for 3 to 4 weeks, according to head coach Alain Vigneault.
Ryan McDonagh, who was hit hard into the boards last night and separated his left shoulder, will miss 3 to 4 weeks as a result of the injury, with the information coming from Alain Vigneault and Steve Zipay.
The shoulder that was injured was the same one McDonagh hurt at the end of last season, where he missed 5 games with a sore shoulder.
With the type of injury he suffered, the result could have been a lot worse. Three to four weeks could have been a lot worse for the Rangers, but the absence of New Yorks number one defenseman will really hurt the team, and it will be hard to find someone to replace him. Read the rest of this entry
John Moore Suspended for 5 Games

Rangers’ defenseman will be suspended for the next 5 games as a result of his hit to the head on Minnesota WIld forward Eric Haula.
Following John Moore’s match penalty on Monday against the Minnesota Wild, Moore has been handed a 5 game suspension by the NHL department of player safety.
Moore delivered an illegal blow to the head of Wild forward Eric Haula, which did cause an injury. It is important to know that the hit was not late and was not with the elbow, but Moore was unable to hit him square through the body.
