Chris Kreider will return to the Rangers lineup on Saturday when the Rangers (12-10-4) take on the Vancouver Canucks (18-9-2) in Canada. But like expected, Kreider will not be skating alongside Derek Stepan and Martin St. Louis on the second line.
For the second straight practice, JT Miller took line rushes with the Rangers second line. Miller had success on Monday skating with Stepan and St. Louis. He played over 14 minutes and scored the first goal of the game. Read the rest of this entry

JT Miller has shown that he is ready to play at the NHL level, impressing coaches in his first four game since being recalled.
After sitting out on Monday against the Penguins with neck spasms, Chris Kreider was back practicing the team on Wednesday. However, he did not reclaim his spot on the second line just yet. JT Miller remained on the second line alongside Derek Stepan and Martin St. Louis.

The Rangers (12-10-4) lost another lead late in the game, but managed to find a way to beat the Penguins (18-6-3) thanks to a goal in overtime from Kevin Klein.
The Rangers surrendered the first goal of the game, but scored three straight after that before surrendering two late in the third. The last two goals were due to defensive miscues and mistakes. This season, when the Rangers have made mistakes, it winds up in their own net, and that’s what happened tonight. Read the rest of this entry

After a difficult loss on the road, the Rangers (11-10-4) will take on the Pittsburgh Penguins (18-6-2) at Madison Square Garden in the third match up between this two teams.
The Rangers have earned three out of a possible four points against the Penguins. The last time that they played, the Rangers lost in the shootout after it was ruled that Dan Boyle double-contacted the puck, meaning no goal.
The last time that the Penguins came to Madison Square Garden, the Blueshirts put forward one of their best efforts of the season, shutting out Pittsburgh by a final score of 5-0. Read the rest of this entry

Throughout the first 25 games of the season, the Rangers have not gotten off to the start that they had hoped for. The Blueshirts are currently 11-10-4, totaling 26 points, and a win out of a playoff spot in the Metropolitan Division.
Part of that has to do with the inconsistent play of many of their players. One of those guys is Chris Kreider, the second line, power forward, and skilled skater that has been a top six forward since he started in the 2012 playoffs. Read the rest of this entry
