Connor Allen and Dylan McIlrath called up from Hartford; Will play tomorrow

As expected, Connor Allen and Dylan McIlrath have both been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack to replace the two free spots in the Rangers’ defensive pairings with the injured to Kevin Klein and captain Ryan McDonagh.
This is now the second straight season that Allen, 24, and McIlrath, 22, have been called up to play with the Rangers.
McIlrath, the Rangers’ 10th overall pick in the 2010 draft, turned pro during the 2012-2013 season, but played just 45 games due to surgery he required on his kneecap. He played in 62 games with Hartford last year, scoring six goals with 11 assists for a total of 17 points, as well as accumulating 165 penalty minutes Read the rest of this entry
McDonagh out 3-4 weeks; Klein’s X-Rays negative

Ryan McDonagh’s separated shoulder will sideline him for 3 to 4 weeks, according to head coach Alain Vigneault.
Ryan McDonagh, who was hit hard into the boards last night and separated his left shoulder, will miss 3 to 4 weeks as a result of the injury, with the information coming from Alain Vigneault and Steve Zipay.
The shoulder that was injured was the same one McDonagh hurt at the end of last season, where he missed 5 games with a sore shoulder.
With the type of injury he suffered, the result could have been a lot worse. Three to four weeks could have been a lot worse for the Rangers, but the absence of New Yorks number one defenseman will really hurt the team, and it will be hard to find someone to replace him. Read the rest of this entry
Rangers fall to Winnipeg in shootout, lose McDonagh and Klein to Injury

The Rangers faced off against the Jets in a very exciting game, but came away with a 1-0 shootout loss, and a bad taste in their mouth following the loss of captain Ryan McDonagh and Kevin Klein to injuries.
Both Ondrej Pavelec and Henrik Lundqvist recored shutouts, with 65 minutes of shutout hockey. Both made some great saves, but it was Pavelec who had the heavier workload, stopping all 38 shots he faced.
Rangers aim for fourth consecutive home win; Hayes back in lineup

The Rangers will be looking to win their fourth consecutive home game, and start off this four game homestand with a 2-0 record.
After playing just nine games in October, and only 3 games in the past 12 days, the Rangers embark on a jam-packed November tonight against the Winnipeg Jets.
New York will play the first of 15 games over the next 29 days, with 10 of those games being played on home ice.
The Rangers (5-4-0) are coming off of a sensational comeback victory over the Wild, where they scored 5 goals in the third period en route to their fourth win in 5 games. New York has not played since that game, which was on Monday. Read the rest of this entry

After looking dead for the first two periods of the game, and dealing with two ejections, the Rangers managed to stay strong and scored 5 goals in the third period, leading them to a crazy 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
This was the first time the Rangers have scored 5 goals in a period since 2011 against the Canadiens, and it’s only the first time they have come back from a 3-0 deficit in the third since 1992 against the Minnesota North Stars.
Coming into tonight, the Wild had only given up 6 goals in 6 games. The Rangers practically managed to double that in one period, with the 5 goals coming from 5 different Rangers. Kevin Klein, Rick Nash, Derick Brassard, Anthony Duclair, and Mats Zuccarello all scored for New York.
