Rangers head to St. Louis for first road game; Klein still out with back strain

After an exciting season opening win over the Islanders at home, the New York Rangers (1-0-0) are on the road in St. Louis to take on the Blues (2-0-0) for the team’s first road game of the season.
This is one of just three road games this month for the Rangers, who will return to Madison Square Garden to play five of their next seven games.
The Rangers are looking to win their third straight game against the Blues after sweeping the season series last year. St. Louis has beaten Chicago and Minnesota so far, and are aiming to win their first three games of the season for just the fourth time in franchise history. Final battle for roster spots tonight as Rangers battle the Flyers; Jooris back in action

This is it; the final preseason game before Alain Vigneault and the Rangers begin their quest for the Stanley Cup on Oct. 13. The roster has been cut down to 29 players (you can read about that HERE) and tonight marks the last opportunity for players to state their case for a roster spot.

Rangers take on Isles as final roster decisions are made

The Rangers lost in Philadelphia last night in overtime after coming back from three goals down in the third period. It was a chippy affair with physical play, good defense and also some great periods of offense and scoring.
They play again tonight against the Islanders in Brooklyn. Here are the lineups;
