Rangers look to keep winning ways against the Stars; Potential lineup changes

The Rangers (19-10-4) are currently in the midst of their longest win streak in 40 years. One win would tie the longest win streak in franchise history, but they will have to go through the Dallas Stars (15-14-5), who have won five of their last six games.

The Stars are coming off of a 4-3 win against the St. Louis Blues, continuing their success in recent games. The Stars are still eight points back in the standings, but are hoping to climb into a wild card spot. Read the rest of this entry

Rangers roll over Devils for 8th straight; Stepan picks up a hat trick

The Rangers (19-10-4) started off the second season on the right foot, defeating the Devils (12-18-7) in front of 18,006 Garden faithful by a final score of 3-1.

Derek Stepan scored all three of the Rangers goals, bringing his point total to 22 (6-16-22) in just 21 games this season. It is also the first time that the Rangers have had hat tricks in back-to-back games since Mike Gartner and Adam Graves did it in the 1994 season. Read the rest of this entry

Rangers begin second half against Devils, look to continue consistency

After the league-mandated three day holiday break, the Rangers (18-10-4) will return to action against the rival New Jersey Devils (12-17-7) at Madison Square Garden.

The Devils are in a bit of turmoil, having just fired their head coach Pete DeBoer this afternoon. After having a decent start to the season, the Devils have lost seven of their last eight games, and 13 of their last 16, dating back to November 22nd.
